¡ #FLOWRSBYPICNIQUETTE is back!
Picniquette & FLOWRS* also in 2015 will continue our trip in the world of flowers! FLOWRS & I decided to dedicate this technically quite grey month to the beautiful and bright RANUNCULUS.
Ranunculus work really good in small arrangements, with 5 or 6 stems grouped in a pot with rectangular or small rounded mouth. In this case Flowrs’s tip is to arrange the flowers just on one side, to give movement with a very small number of elements.
Ranunculus family includes more than 400 species, originally from Asia. Both Latin and Greek original name can be translated as “small frog” because one first varieties were founded living spontaneously near lakes and swamps, where frogs live;). In english is formerly known as Buttercup!
Bulbs, 2o-6o cm height, Ranunculaceae family.
Hollow stem, simple leaves, petioles with y lámina partida.
From January to end of Spring.
Colors: pink, red, white, yellow, pastel.
Buttecups prefer filtered sun or partial shade. They don’t like direct sunlight and they need frequent change of water in pot.
