Report: We love VANBIG, Mallorca on the road street food festival

Finally I am back on the island! 

I write this lines from my brand new workspace at home, in the lovely village of Deiá, which I will soon describe you a little better in the upcoming posts and… I am really full of joy!

My arrival in Mallorca couldn’t be really more powerful, coinciding with the first Street food event Mallorca has ever seenVanBig, and being invited as a guest, to teach a food styling workshop,  that was one of the greatest experiences I had in life! …Could I really ask for more?

So this post is all about say thank you, thank you, thanks and let you some visual bites of the event…

First let me say  T H A N K S to the Vanbiggers  who brought to life this festival: it happens I had the chance to work with each one of them in different situations thanks to Picniquette project. To Lina, from Palma based agency Picnicthe most vibrant and energetic person I ever met. To Alberto, the owner of a special organic farm in the wonderful village of Banyalbufar, who I first met on the first Picniquette we organized in MallorcaThe purpose of his project Tomátiga  is to bring back to life a special ancient quality of Ramallet tomatoes, native of the island (and in his freetime organizes a cool music festival like Eres Negre, coming soon in July). To Jaume & Elena from slow-food catering Peixos de la Terra. With them I shared one of the best moments of my life in a wheat field, two summers ago, taking pics for their project.

This great people is behind the VANBIG festival and I am so pleased to have been invited to join this gipsy crew to report alll the festival and to teach the workshop! 

T H A N K S to the 7 foodtrucks involved: from the organic tapas bio of El Xiribio, colourful sweets & cupcakes by Anita Cakes, legendaries Angus burgers by Manduka Street Food,  icecreams and lemonades from Soller by Glace Moustache, majorcan recipes with a twist by Variat,  tex-majorcan tacos by LaPickup, to best hot-dogs I’ve tried in years! by majorcan chef Koldo Royo.

T H A N K S to Art Museum Es Baluard to host the event and offer to all of us its amazing urban oasis, green grass and beautiful seaviews! and a special thanks to host my workshop in the place of my dream, inside its building, with the perfect light and vibe! 

Actually these pics are just an appetizer about what happened in VANBIG this saturday because the truth is I spent most of my time teaching the two food styling workshops “#INSTAÑAM” applied to mobile photography & instagram.
